Description

KIEFER is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build and own features for Sophea Meet, an AI-powered meeting assistant. The role focuses on backend development with TypeScript and Node.js services, APIs, data flows, testing, monitoring, and production reliability, while also contributing to React and React Native interfaces when needed. The engineer will collaborate with product, design, QA, DevOps, and Security teams and use AI coding agents in development workflows. The position is fully remote within the European Union or hybrid from Athens, with no relocation expected.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with backend development as the core expertise
Backend engineering experience with Python and production services using TypeScript and Node.js
PostgreSQL, event-driven systems, and caching with Redis or similar technologies
Experience building and operating distributed systems in production with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS
Test automation experience, including test-level selection and flaky-test identification
Practical experience using AI coding agents beyond autocomplete and critically reviewing their output
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with real-time systems, WebRTC, WebSockets, media pipelines, speech recognition, or translation
Experience with AI or LLM-powered products and technologies such as OpenSearch or Elasticsearch
Experience shipping products under regulatory or certification requirements such as GDPR, DORA, NIS2, SOC 2, or CASA
