Grab is hiring a Backend Engineer for its Insurance Operations PST in Malaysia. The role reports to the Engineering Manager, Insurance Operations and develops scalable backend systems for accounting, reporting, third-party integrations, and BNM regulatory reporting. Responsibilities include building integrations with ISM, APAD, and JPJ, writing maintainable code, collaborating on features, participating in code reviews, troubleshooting complex issues, contributing to architecture, and joining on-call rotations. The position is onsite in Petaling Jaya and requires at least four years of software development experience, Java or Golang proficiency, relational database and Git experience, cloud and clean-architecture knowledge, and computer science fundamentals.
