Affirm is hiring a Data Platform Engineer to build, operate, and extend the platform and application layer of its data infrastructure. The role covers automated provisioning, CI/CD and deployment pipelines, secure data access and governance, self-service automation, observability, incident response, and platform maintenance, while contributing to semantic-layer and agentic data-tooling initiatives. Candidates need cloud analytical-platform experience, container and deployment expertise, Python and SQL, backend engineering fundamentals, and strong operational ownership. The position is remote-first, with base pay of $195,000–$255,000 per year in California, Washington, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, and $173,000–$233,000 per year in other U.S. states.
