State Street’s Wealth Custody & Clearing Technology team is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to provide technical leadership across backend and data platforms. The role will architect and lead high-scale, low-latency distributed systems in a cloud-native environment, define engineering standards, drive long-term technical vision, partner with product and business stakeholders, mentor senior engineers, and lead incident response and reliability initiatives. The position requires 9+ years of backend software engineering experience, expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, data storage, event-driven architectures, and financial services systems, along with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field. The stated salary range is $120,000 to $202,500 annually, with medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, and other benefits.
