Viant is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Potens team to modernize and extend Magnus and Goliath, internal platforms for workflow orchestration and large-scale BigQuery data exploration. The hands-on full-stack role involves Java and Go backend services, JavaScript frontend applications, data platforms, and AI-powered capabilities using LLMs, tool calling, guardrails, evaluation, and MCP. Responsibilities include maintaining production systems, integrating BigQuery, MySQL, GCP services, and internal APIs, resolving production and performance issues, building automated tests, and owning projects through deployment and support. The position offers a base compensation range of $150,000 to $180,000 and fully paid health insurance.
