PENN Entertainment is hiring a remote Bet Engine Software Engineer to design, scale, and maintain high-performance GraphQL, gRPC, SQL, and financial systems supporting sportsbook wagering, casino transactions, ledgers, regulatory enforcement, and risk management. The role owns complex technical problems, production performance and reliability, monitoring, integrations, data migrations, and cross-team architecture, while mentoring engineers and collaborating with stakeholders. Candidates need at least five years of software engineering experience, strong distributed-systems and database knowledge, API and GraphQL experience, Kubernetes familiarity, and experience with production services and financial or accounting systems.
