The role designs, implements, and optimizes components in distributed systems, focusing on scalability, resiliency, performance, data retrieval and storage, fault tolerance, replication, security, automation, and operational reliability. Responsibilities include load and performance testing, fault-injection and brown-out testing, incident response, root-cause analysis, dashboards, telemetry, runbooks, IaC, and compliance. The role is an IC3 career-level position with a U.S. hiring range of $79,200 to $209,500 per year and may be eligible for bonus and equity.
