Snowflake is hiring an AI Agent Quality Engineer to own the quality, efficiency, reliability, and production performance of Cortex Code, its coding agent for data engineering. The role focuses on building evaluation harnesses, diagnosing agent failures, running experiments to improve quality and reduce cost and latency, debugging production issues, onboarding frontier models, and partnering with product and infrastructure teams. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least six years of production software experience including AI/LLM features, fluency in Python, TypeScript, or Go, and strong systems-thinking and communication skills. The role offers a base salary of $200,000–$270,000 plus bonus and equity, along with medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other benefits.
