Description

CoMind is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its CoVision project to build and maintain an on-device large language model that transforms raw neuro-signals into clinical insights. The role integrates the LLM with live neuromonitoring signals, develops evaluation, prompting, guardrails, and reliability systems, optimises inference on constrained hardware, and produces medical device software compliant with IEC 62304 and ISO 14971. The position requires at least seven years of software engineering experience, C++ and Python, applied LLM experience, and strong systems and software-development skills. The role is based at CoMind’s Kings Cross offices at least four days per week, with a flexible work-from-home day.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 7+ years of hands-on software engineering
Applied LLM experience involving prompting, guardrails, RAG, evaluation, and model-behaviour reasoning
Experience building or extending a model and integrating it into a real product
Experience integrating third-party libraries or complex components into a larger system
Experience reasoning about latency, memory, and throughput on constrained hardware
Preferred Qualifications: Edge or on-device AI experience
Experience with llama.cpp or similar and small on-device models
Cloud experience, particularly with AWS and LLMs
Background in a regulated or safety-critical industry
