Description
Box is hiring a backend engineer to join its newly formed Data Foundations team within Core Data. The role owns and evolves asynchronous data services that synchronize data across Box’s systems and data stores, improving reliability, observability, scalability, architecture, and data consistency. Responsibilities include designing and deploying production services, troubleshooting reliability and performance issues, participating in on-call rotation, and contributing to the technical direction of the Data Foundations platform. The position requires at least five years of software development experience, proficiency in Java or Scala, distributed-systems and asynchronous-systems experience, and a degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience. The role is hybrid, requiring employees to work from their assigned office at least three days per week.
