Airwallex is hiring a Platform Engineer in Seattle to architect and build core distributed infrastructure, optimize JVM and distributed-system internals, develop AI and real-time data capabilities, and lead the full SDLC for high-performance batch and streaming systems. The role also includes mentoring mid-level engineers and contributing to shared tooling, SDKs, and automation frameworks. Candidates should have at least five years of experience building large-scale distributed systems or infrastructure platforms and be proficient in Java, Kotlin, or Go, with hands-on experience or interest in Kafka, Flink, Spark, Kubernetes, or OLAP engines.
