Aiven is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Database OEM team to design customer-specific solutions and improve PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Valkey services for strategic partners. The role involves writing maintainable code, reviewing pull requests, managing technical planning and backlogs, investigating customer issues, mentoring engineers, automating processes, and improving service scalability, reliability, and operational quality. The position requires strong Python development skills, at least five years of experience with a listed database, backup and Linux expertise, automated testing, distributed systems knowledge, performance and security experience, and understanding of white-labeling and multi-tenancy.
