Description
Workday is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer for its observability organization to build and operate distributed systems for metrics ingestion, processing, and alerting across global production environments. The role also contributes to agentic engineering by developing tools, APIs, and workflows for engineers and AI agents. Responsibilities include designing, debugging, and operating cloud-native services; building platform services; improving AI-agent interactions; and collaborating with SRE and partner engineering teams. The position requires at least six years of professional software engineering experience, four years designing large-scale distributed systems, a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, and strong proficiency in Go, Python, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, APIs, and testing. The primary location is Ireland, with a base pay range of €96,000 to €144,000 and a flexible work arrangement requiring at least 50% of time each quarter in the office or field.
