Description

Laminar is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Edge Platform to own and build components of its next-generation edge computing platform. The role covers Linux systems engineering, virtualization and containerized workload management, edge AI and LLM deployment, industrial system integration, CI/CD, security, and technical leadership. Candidates need at least four years of production systems software experience, strong Linux and distributed-systems expertise, experience shipping software to uncontrolled environments, familiarity with ML and LLM deployment on edge hardware, and a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Required Previous Experiences: At least 4 years of experience building production systems software, including work on Linux systems, infrastructure, or distributed systems
Experience owning the design, implementation, and success of significant system components
Experience shipping software to on-premises, edge, embedded, robotics, or similar environments
Experience with bare-metal infrastructure, hypervisors, virtual machines, and containers
Experience deploying ML models and LLMs on edge hardware
Experience with deployment automation, monitoring, system recovery, and secure software updates
