Flipturn is hiring a software engineer to build and improve the Flipturn Controller, an onsite control computer integrating EV chargers, batteries, generators, meters, and utility programs. The role involves embedded Linux systems, Yocto or similar build tooling, bootloaders, board bring-up, firmware, and full-stack energy-management improvements. Candidates should have 4–7 years of software engineering experience, at least 2 years of firmware development experience, and experience with embedded Linux systems. The position offers a $190,000–$230,000 base salary plus equity, health coverage, retirement matching, paid time off, and offices in New York City and Austin.
