StackAI is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Engine & Distributed Systems to own the durable runtime that executes AI agents. The role covers the execution model, scheduling, sub-agent parallelization, checkpointing, resumption, recovery, fault tolerance, scalability, reliability, and integration of agent harnesses and orchestration frameworks. Candidates should have at least five years of backend systems experience, strong distributed-systems knowledge, experience with durable execution or workflow orchestration, and strong Python and backend skills.
