Lyft is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Foundational Infrastructure & Networking team to own core routing, service mesh, control planes, ingress/egress infrastructure, and edge networking at scale. The role involves designing and optimizing Envoy-based systems on AWS and Kubernetes, improving load balancing, service discovery, and dynamic scaling, establishing telemetry and distributed tracing, leading production debugging, and mentoring engineers. Candidates need at least six years of production systems experience and expertise in cloud networking, Linux, TCP/IP, DNS, gRPC, HTTP/2, service meshes, Kubernetes, Terraform, and distributed systems troubleshooting.
