Coinbase is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Frontend (Platform - Identity) to own user-facing authentication experiences, including login, signup, OAuth, account security, and multi-factor authentication. The role leads end-to-end frontend delivery, technical design, Native versus Webview architecture strategy, technical debt resolution, and mentorship of L04 engineers. Candidates need at least five years of production frontend engineering experience with React and TypeScript, experience leading complex initiatives, resolving systemic technical debt, mentoring engineers, and leading on-call, code-review, and incident-response rituals. The position is remote-first with quarterly in-person sessions and offers an annual base salary of $186,065 to $218,900 USD, plus potential equity, bonus, and benefits.
