Sigma Computing is hiring a full-time backend software engineer to build and improve interactive data-warehouse applications. The role involves solving data-exploration problems, developing APIs and cloud infrastructure, improving application performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Candidates need strong computer science fundamentals, at least five years of software experience, and experience building secure web APIs; data-analytics, distributed-systems, cloud-security, SQL optimization, and cloud-infrastructure experience are preferred. The position offers a base salary of $170,000 to $240,000 annually, stock options, health benefits, and in-office work in San Francisco, New York City, London, or Sydney with a 25% travel expectation.
