Microsoft is hiring an AI Platform Engineer for its Core AI Agentic Core Services Team. The role focuses on defining and building cloud-native, distributed platform services and runtimes for agentic applications, including programming models, developer experiences, managed infrastructure, and enterprise-grade reliability. Responsibilities include requirements analysis, design, code development, debugging, performance optimization, project planning, incident response, and scaling observability. The position requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least six years of experience designing, building, and operating production-grade software and services at scale; security screening and Microsoft Cloud background checks are also required.
