Zoro is hiring a Senior Software Engineer I for its Data and Machine Learning Platform team to build and maintain scalable self-service tools, data pipelines, machine learning workflows, and advanced analytics capabilities. The role includes mentoring junior engineers, collaborating with data and software engineering teams, implementing monitoring and alerting, improving platform infrastructure, researching new technologies, and maintaining documentation. Candidates need at least five years of platform engineering or software development experience, strong programming skills, cloud and containerization experience, CI/CD and orchestration experience, and the ability to mentor others. The position is based in Chicago and offers a hybrid work model with at least two onsite days per week.
