Description

Elsevier is hiring a Senior Software Engineer I (Java & JavaScript) for its Identity & Access Management team. The role develops and maintains scalable authentication and authorization infrastructure on AWS ECS and EKS, including complex software design, bug fixes, specifications, continuous integration, delivery, deployment, logging, instrumentation, alerting, and code reviews. The engineer will also mentor junior developers, collaborate with stakeholders, and resolve intermediate technical issues. Requirements include Java/J2EE, JavaScript, Node.js, React, SQL, identity-provider experience, and knowledge of development methodologies, data modelling, and test-driven development.
