Description

Instacart is hiring a Senior Engineer II (L6) for its Ads DSE team to lead the technical roadmap and architecture for scalable, data-intensive systems across off-platform advertising, cleanroom data collaboration, taxonomy automation, platform modernization, and AI-driven development. The role involves modernizing data solutions, scaling integrations and measurement capabilities, improving observability and cost efficiency, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with Product, Data Science, Data Platform, Governance, and external partners. It is a remote position with location-dependent base pay ranging from $192,000 to $242,500 USD.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 8+ years of software engineering experience delivering and operating large-scale backend and data systems, including cross-team projects and architectural decisions.
Experience with ad-tech and programmatic measurement integrations, cleanrooms, identity matching, and deconfliction.
Recent hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools to improve speed and quality.
Experience defining reusable prompts and workflows and contributing to AI-enabled internal tools or automation.
Preferred Qualifications: Direct experience with UID2, TTD, Roku, Pubmatic, NBCU, or Meta Advanced Analytics and Google ADH pipelines.
Experience with catalog, taxonomy, entity lineage, or custom hierarchy systems.
Experience with Snowflake governance patterns and partner data collaboration at scale.
Experience with vendor and partner management and external API certification programs.
Experience building AI-powered internal tools such as Slackbots or data assistants.
