Description
Rocket Software is hiring a Senior Software Test Engineer to own product quality across the software development lifecycle for complex applications running on Linux and mainframe environments. The role involves understanding requirements, documenting technical topics, implementing enhancements and defect fixes, architecting scalable automated test frameworks, validating functional, performance, scalability, failure, user-experience, and operational behavior, and mentoring junior team members. Candidates need at least eight years of software development experience, Linux and scripting or programming experience, and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent; mainframe, CI/CD, distributed systems, and production-support experience are preferred. The position reports to a Senior Software Engineering Manager and is remote with 0–10% travel.
