Description

HUD is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure to own the reliability, scale, performance, developer experience, uptime, cost, and incident response of its core platform and backend systems. The role combines production cloud infrastructure with backend engineering across AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, observability, queues, databases, APIs, and deployment safety. It is a full-time position based in San Francisco or Singapore, with remote candidates eligible for 70–80% overlap with those time zones, and visa support is provided to strong candidates.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Production cloud infrastructure ownership for a high-availability, user-facing platform
Deep AWS infrastructure and containerized systems experience
CI/CD, environment management, release automation, observability, alerting, and incident response
Backend engineering judgment across service architecture, APIs, databases, async systems, queues, scaling, and production failure modes
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, EC2, CodeBuild, ECR, S3, IAM, load balancers, networking, and secrets management
Experience operating infrastructure for data-heavy, ML/AI, workflow, marketplace, developer-tools, or enterprise platforms
Experience designing systems for bursty workloads, long-running jobs, sandboxed execution, distributed workers, or high-concurrency services
Experience reducing cloud spend through architecture, autoscaling, workload placement, caching, cleanup systems, or observability
Experience building internal platforms or tools that improve engineer productivity
