Description

Airwallex is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build and operate distributed data and AI infrastructure. The role focuses on Kubernetes and public-cloud platforms, streaming and batch processing with Kafka, Spark, and Flink, AI gateways, model routing, traffic management, observability, and self-service platform capabilities. It requires 5+ years of DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering experience, strong Kubernetes and distributed-systems expertise, cloud and networking knowledge, and proficiency in Go, Python, or Java. The position is based in Seoul, South Korea.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering experience owning production systems end to end
Experience designing, operating, and troubleshooting production Kubernetes environments
Experience with distributed data infrastructure using Kafka, Spark, or Flink, or AI infrastructure using AI gateways or model-routing platforms
Hands-on experience with a major public cloud platform such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure
Experience operating critical infrastructure with infrastructure-as-code, automated delivery, and modern observability practices
Preferred Qualifications: Platform engineering experience building internal developer platforms or paved-road workflows
Experience with SGLang, vLLM, or NVIDIA Triton Inference Server
Knowledge of GPU scheduling, batching, model parallelism, memory management, autoscaling, and inference-performance optimization
Experience improving cost efficiency of large-scale data processing or AI inference workloads
Contributions to infrastructure, data-platform, Kubernetes, or AI-serving open-source projects
