Description
Adyen is hiring a Software Engineer to build and maintain a distributed, high-performance financial platform, contribute to architectural design, improve scalability and reliability, and mentor junior engineers. The role requires 6+ years of experience with object-oriented programming languages, particularly Java, along with knowledge of database design, performance queries, and cross-functional collaboration. The technology stack includes Java 17, RESTful web services, SQL/PostgreSQL, MyBatis, Tomcat, Gradle, CockroachDB, and Elasticsearch. The position is based in Adyen’s Madrid office and is office-first, with no remote-only arrangement.
