ARQ is hiring a Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure backend systems for its fintech products. The role focuses on greenfield development and improving existing systems, including REST APIs, microservices, card payments, treasury management, transaction booking, and crypto liquidity. The technology stack is primarily Java 25, Postgres, and Spring Boot, with an emphasis on clean code, TDD, DDD, and continuous integration and delivery. Candidates need backend development experience, fluency in Java, a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline, and experience building complex products for hypergrowth startups.
