Description

Mastercard’s Enterprise Credit Risk team is hiring a Senior Software Engineer – Java Full Stack to design, build, test, deploy, and maintain scalable enterprise applications for credit decisioning, portfolio risk management, lender workflows, customer experiences, and analytics. The role requires Java backend development with Spring Boot, modern frontend development, REST APIs, microservices, event-driven integrations, cloud-native development, and strong software engineering practices. It is a hybrid position based in O’Fallon, Missouri, requiring three days per week onsite, with a base salary of $115,000–$184,000 USD.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM discipline; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
Required Previous Experiences: Extensive experience as a software, senior software, or full-stack engineer developing enterprise-scale applications.
Hands-on Java development experience with object-oriented programming, design principles, and software design patterns.
Experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed applications with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework.
Experience developing modern responsive web applications with React, Angular, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
Experience with relational databases and SQL, including PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
Experience with event-driven architectures, Kafka, and JSON/XML APIs.
Experience with cloud-native development, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure or AWS.
Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and optimizing application performance and scalability.
Technical leadership through complex projects, platform initiatives, architectural improvements, or cross-team engineering efforts.
