Runa is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to architect, implement, and deploy scalable software services for its global payment infrastructure. The role focuses on Java and Kotlin, event-driven microservice architecture, containerised cloud infrastructure on AWS, and API-heavy software solutions. The engineer will also mentor junior engineers, lead technical interviews, and improve the performance and reliability of payment services. The position is hybrid, requiring three days per week at Runa’s London office in Shoreditch, with work-from-anywhere flexibility for up to 45 calendar days per year.
