Akamai is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Linux Performance team to improve the performance and efficiency of the company’s Intelligent Platform and global distributed network. The role focuses on analyzing system performance, designing and implementing solutions, expanding metrics and visualizations, building internal tooling, training other engineers, and collaborating across teams. The position requires strong C programming experience, Linux kernel and operating system internals knowledge, scripting proficiency, deep understanding of algorithms and optimization, network protocol expertise, Git, and the ability to work independently in a remote-friendly flexible environment.
