Description

AeroVect is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Localization team to own and improve calibration systems for autonomous ground-handling vehicles. The role covers offline calibration reliability, cross-sensor coverage, online calibration validation, localization and mapping pipeline contributions, diagnostics tooling, and deployment across real autonomous operations at active airports. The engineer will work under a Staff Localization Engineer and collaborate with Perception, Planning, and Infrastructure teams.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of robotics or autonomous-vehicle experience with hands-on sensor calibration, localization, or state estimation
Experience with non-linear optimization frameworks or filtering approaches
Experience with C++17+, Linux, and ROS/ROS2
Preferred Qualifications: Master's or PhD focused on calibration, localization, or state estimation
Experience building online calibration monitoring for deployed autonomous systems
Experience with factor graphs, graph-based SLAM, or open-source localization tools
Experience deploying calibration or localization systems on real production hardware
Experience defining safety thresholds and safety monitoring architectures
Familiarity with OpenCV, PCL, or Open3D
