Sportradar is hiring a Backend Software Engineer for its iGaming (Playradar) division to design, implement, and evolve scalable backend services and game logic for casino, virtual sports, live betting, and other gaming products. The role focuses on Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, databases, domain logic, testing, and production-grade systems, with responsibilities spanning technical ownership, architecture discussions, and mentoring. It is based in the Vienna or Ljubljana office and operates on a fully on-site model.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Professional software engineering experience focused on backend development and production-grade systems
Java and Spring Boot experience, including REST APIs, configuration, and security
Experience designing, building, and maintaining backend services in production environments
Experience implementing domain logic, business rules, or game-related mechanics in scalable systems
Experience with Git and modern development workflows, including code reviews and pull requests
Practical experience using Docker for images, local development, and containerized services
