Waymo is hiring a Backend Engineer for its Mapping team to own low-latency systems, develop algorithms and infrastructure for keeping maps fresh, and build scalable backend infrastructure and data-processing systems. The role requires backend engineering experience, server-side infrastructure and data-processing expertise, strong coding skills, and more than four years of total experience; C++ and experience in autonomous vehicle or mapping are preferred. The position offers a full-time base salary of $204,000 to $259,000 USD across United States locations.
