Description
Zipline is hiring a Map Platform Engineer to build and operate the mapping infrastructure that powers autonomous drone flights. The role owns geospatial data pipelines, APIs, data quality, validation, and production services used by map editors, operator dashboards, regulatory interfaces, routing, onboard systems, simulation, and operations. It requires large-scale data pipeline and API experience, strong backend or distributed systems fundamentals, and cross-functional ownership; geospatial or GIS experience is a plus. The role offers a starting cash range of $160,000–$250,000, with three possible levels and benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
