Elastic is hiring a Backend Engineer for its Observability Streams program to build, deploy, and maintain scalable backend ingestion pipelines for observability data. The role owns features such as mOTLP endpoints and agentless integrations, leads projects from concept to delivery, provides engineering support for escalated customer cases, mentors peers, monitors system stability, and participates in on-call rotations. It requires intermediate-to-expert Go, Kubernetes, Terraform, Kafka, observability, microservices, distributed systems, OpenTelemetry, and AI-assisted development experience. Compensation is a base salary of €67,000–€106,000 EUR, with no variable component.
