Flatpay is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to define the technical direction and architectural foundations of its online payments platform. The role involves designing and building scalable backend systems, APIs, services, and integrations; leading multi-engineer initiatives; improving reliability, observability, performance, and security; and mentoring engineers. The position requires 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, distributed-systems expertise, and experience with scalable backend platforms and APIs, with a focus on Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, React, AWS, and related technologies. The work is based in the Copenhagen office.
