Description
GovWell is hiring a Payments Engineer to design and build the financial architecture for local-government payments, including an auditable ledger, precise fee computation, partial payments, deposits, refunds, and migration from legacy systems. The role owns the domain from architecture through implementation, partners with finance and municipal teams, and reports to the CTO and Co-Founder. It is a hybrid position requiring at least three days per week in person at the New York City office, with remote flexibility, and offers a competitive base salary, equity, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and flexible PTO.
