Astronomer is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Platform Engineering team to design, build, test, and deploy production infrastructure for Astro, Observe, and its IDE products. The role focuses on high-scale PaaS environments, platform reliability, incident management, documentation, and technology decisions, with direct reporting to the VP of Reliability. Candidates should have strong experience in non-abstract systems, Python, Golang, Kubernetes, observability, and software development best practices; SaaS/PaaS, cloud, on-call, and Apache Airflow experience are advantageous.
