Description

Dremio is hiring a Platform Engineer to build and own the observability and core services foundation for its unified lakehouse platform. The role combines DevOps/SRE and application development, focusing on telemetry, messaging, persistence, caching, coordination, events, audit services, infrastructure-as-code, application frameworks, distributed systems, and SAP platform integration. The engineer will also support customer-facing Field teams and contribute to roadmap and integration milestones.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of software engineering experience
2+ years of Java experience
2+ years of hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience with Helm, Terraform, or equivalent
Deep experience with a major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry or comparable observability platforms
Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
Preferred Qualifications: Experience building SaaS microservices and distributed systems
Hands-on experience with multi-threaded or asynchronous programming models
Proficiency with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, RocksDB, or Redis
Background in CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins or ArgoCD
Experience with additional programming languages such as C++, Go, Python, Node.js, or Rust
Experience in query processing, distributed systems, concurrency control, data replication, or storage systems
Experience with Java GC/heap tuning, Apache Arrow, SQL operators, or data-path optimization
