Description
Voleon is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Software Platform team to design and evolve distributed systems supporting research and trading workflows across on-premises and cloud environments. The role focuses on distributed scheduling and workflow systems, job prioritization and resource allocation, scalable platform services and storage abstractions, reliability and observability, and complex project delivery. Responsibilities also include technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance for engineering and research staff. Candidates need a computer science or engineering degree or equivalent experience, at least five years of software engineering experience, expertise in a modern programming language, Linux/UNIX experience, and familiarity with distributed systems, APIs, data storage, and job scheduling technologies.
