Metropolis is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Product Foundations team to architect and build the composable Metropolis Web Services platform. The role focuses on distributed systems, microservices, service mesh infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, reliability, and high-throughput systems supporting millions of transactions. Candidates need at least six years of backend software engineering experience, expert Java proficiency, production experience with microservices, Kubernetes, and AWS, and strong systems and observability expertise. The position requires being in the office at least four days per week and offers an anticipated base salary of $150,000 to $200,000 annually.
