Description
Qualitate is hiring a Senior Engineer focused on real-time and audio systems to own the live voice-interview layer end to end. The role covers WebSocket infrastructure, session state, message routing, backpressure, speech-to-text pipelines, scalability, reliability, observability, and graceful degradation for thousands of concurrent conversations. The engineer will also define technical strategy for the interview platform and work with the founding team. The position requires 5+ years of software experience, production real-time systems, audio and voice fluency, strong backend and frontend skills, and familiarity with AI models and agentic tools. It is a full-time, in-person role in New York City with a base salary of $160,000–$270,000, a performance-based bonus, equity, and health coverage.
