Coinbase is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Risk Engineering team within its Consumer & Business group. The role focuses on building and optimizing backend systems that detect and prevent fraud, manage credit and market risk, and protect users in real time at crypto-market scale. The engineer will lead end-to-end delivery of complex risk platform features, make architectural decisions, partner with data science, ML, risk, product, and compliance teams, and contribute to incident response, post-mortems, mentoring, and engineering best practices. The position is remote-first with quarterly in-person surges and offers a base salary range plus equity, bonus eligibility, and benefits.
