Description

Berkshire Grey is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Robotics, focused on manipulation to develop and support production robotic software. The role covers motion planning, kinematics, control strategies, motion execution, simulation, hardware integration, and technical leadership. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least four years of production software development experience, strong Python expertise, and experience with robotics algorithms and systems; ROS/ROS2, robotic hardware drivers, Linux, asyncio, C++, and NoSQL are preferred.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or a closely related field
Required Previous Experiences: 4+ years of professional software development experience in a production environment
Experience designing and implementing software and algorithms for motion planning, motion execution, multi-arm coordination, robotic kinematics, and/or environment representation
Experience designing and developing RESTful interfaces and gRPC services or clients
Experience with Git, code reviews, Jira, and automated testing
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or a closely related field
6+ years of software development experience in a production environment
Experience with ROS/ROS2
Experience developing and integrating robotic hardware drivers, particularly robotic arms
Familiarity with robotics simulation tools and test environments
