Discord is hiring a Senior Engineer for its Safety Experience team to lead the development of user-facing safety products, production APIs, backend services, and data pipelines that prevent harmful activities and support regulatory compliance. The role requires 5+ years of Python and backend API experience, 5+ years of JavaScript front-end experience, familiarity with Cassandra, Postgres, and ScyllaDB, and experience leading complex end-to-end projects. The position reports to the Engineering Manager of Safety Experience and offers a US base salary of $196,000 to $245,000 plus equity and benefits.
