Description
Microsoft is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Security AI to design, build, test, and operate production AI services for cloud security. The role focuses on AI-enabled workflows, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, agent-based systems, knowledge systems, and security data to improve detection, investigation, response, and risk reduction. Responsibilities include service architecture, APIs, testing, observability, reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement using telemetry and operational feedback. The position requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field plus at least four years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience, along with Microsoft Cloud background-check eligibility. Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees, production AI-systems experience, cloud security and Azure experience, and the ability to drive solutions from design through production.
