Google is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to improve the full lifecycle of software and systems, from design and deployment through monitoring, scaling, automation, and incident response. The role supports services before launch and maintains their availability, latency, performance, and capacity in production, while practicing sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, five years of software development experience, three years of large-scale distributed systems experience, and two years of project leadership and technical leadership experience; a master’s degree is preferred. The position offers USD 174,000–252,000 plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
