Description

It is based in MongoDB’s New York City office on a hybrid model or remotely in North America, and requires at least five years of professional software development experience with cloud services, distributed systems, backend or compiled-code experience, and containerization. The U.S. base salary range is $126,000 to $248,000 USD.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of professional software development experience building, deploying, and operating multi-tenant cloud services with a focus on operational excellence.
Experience with large backend or compiled codebases, such as Rust or C/C++.
Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms, such as Kubernetes.
Experience with observability tooling, including time-series metrics and dashboards.
Experience with distributed systems.
Familiarity with database internals or experience building core components for data processing systems.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience writing and profiling highly performant Rust code.
Experience improving reliability through chaos engineering and load testing.
Experience building scalable cloud services across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Interest in high-availability systems, with hands-on experience or an M.Sc./Ph.D. in the domain.
