The role focuses on backend development and technical leadership for a mission-critical payment harmonization and processing platform that connects payment devices, merchant systems, and authorization networks. The position is remote-first but requires residence in Croatia or nearby countries and periodic on-site visits to Zagreb for client collaboration. Candidates need 5+ years of software engineering experience, strong Java and backend systems expertise, experience with PostgreSQL, Git, CI/CD, automated testing, Agile practices, and payment or banking domain knowledge, along with Croatian and English proficiency.
